Choose a game to practice your recall of the following:

Number bonds to 10

Number bonds to 20

Number bonds to 100( multiples of 10)

Or Number bonds of 100

Or if you cannot access the site write down numbers 0 to 9 on a piece of paper.

Turn over 1 digit eg 2 what do you add to make 10 or 20 ;    2 + ? = 10

Or  turn over 2 digits to create a  number 3   5 . What do you add to 35 to make 100 ?        35 + ? = 100

Activity Focus Recall of Tables

Today we shall be focusing on our quick recall of tables. Remember multiplication is repeated addition.

Example:   2 x 10 = 10 + 10 = 20            3 × 5 = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15            4 x 2 = 2 +2 +2 +2 = 8

Choose one or two of the multiplication challenges below and time how quickly you can complete them. You do not need to print anything off, just jot down your answers on a piece of paper. Remember to post your score and how quickly you completed the challenge on dojo for your teacher to see.

Outdoor activity

Either in your garden or when you are out for a walk,can you collect leaves that have  5 leaflets or 3 leaflets  to create your own multiplication calculations?

Grammar

The focus today will be exploring simple and compound sentences.  There are two video clips that can be paused so that the children can think about/write a response.  The children will need a pencil and some paper for these activities.

Also attached are some muddled sentences to be copied out so that they make sense. 

Please chose an activity that you feel is most appropriate for your child.

Extend by drawing your own picture or find a picture on the internet that you can write about using simple sentences.

Extension:  If your child is familiar with verbs, clauses and simple sentences and can explain what they are, they could look at compound sentences.

Punctuation and handwriting

Attached are some sheets for your child to copy out in their best handwriting adding capital letters and full stops. They also need to think about letter formation (can they join) and where the letters sit on the line.
