English for all
Today we are revising pronouns.
Pronouns replace nouns. If we didn't have pronouns, we'd have to keep repeating our nouns and that would make our sentences awkward and repetitive.
Tom went upstairs to the bedroom. Tom opened the door and Tom sat on the bed.
Pronouns are short words like it, she, he, you, we, they, us and them.
They are used to describe either individuals or groups of people, rather than using their name or names.
Watch this short clip to understand what pronouns are and when we use them.

Plants need air, light, warmth, water and nutrients to be healthy.
If they are healthy, they can continue making their own food through photosynthesis.
Most healthy plants are upright with green leaves.
Then watch the next two short video clips about how to keep plants healthy and what they need to survive.
Then try one of the science tasks attached below: ‘ Poorly Plants ‘sheet. Or if you like and are able try the experiment ‘Cress Heads’( one for all the family). Or create your own investigation about 'What plants need to survive' using either the 1,2 or 3 star sheet to design your own investigation .
