Holkham Hall Visit
On November 30th Whitebeam class visited Holkham Hall. When we arrived after a short coach journey the snow began falling making it an even more festive occasion.
First we toured the Hall, which was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations creating a real sense of awe and wonder for the children. Each room had a theme ranging from a forest to a summer beach hut made from gingerbread. This was followed by a visit to Father Christmas and all the children received a present, which was not to be opened until Christmas Day of course!
Finally before lunch we went down into the kitchens to make Christmas crackers complete with a joke and a chocolate. After lunch we had a quick tour of the 'Field to Fork Exhibition', as the weather really was not conducive to a walk around the grounds spotting deer! It was a truly magical experience and thoroughly enjoyed by both adults and children alike.
