Our Reading Cafe May 2018

Rowan Class ran a reading cafe on Tuesday 8th May. It was great to see so many parents, and the children enjoyed sharing their knowledge about books by Julia Donaldson. We also read a less familiar story by the same author, titled The Paper Dolls, and looked for similarities and differences between stories by the author. We then tackled some creative activities - it was loveley to see children and adults so engrossed in making paper doll chains! The afternoon flew by, and Year 1 children did an excellent job of offering and serving refreshments for our guests.
