On the 8th March 2017 we all set off for our next visit to Houghton Hall. We were wrapped up warm with many layers - ready for the day ahead. As we got off the coach the sun peeped out and stayed that way for the rest of the day.
Our main focus this time was using the fantastic sculptures to inspire writing - this really worked well, and some brilliant stories were created. (look on our board outside of the classroom - they are there to read).
The children created their second art palette reflecting the changing colours of the walled garden during spring.
Alongside this they were able to create some very detailed observational drawings, based in the walled garden.
Lots of fun and enjoyment was had by all - we can't wait to return in June, when den making in the woods will be the main focus.
