A simply quack'tastic Fundraiser, that's always a winner for the school!
On Sunday May 12th, the sun shone, there was hardly a breath of wind as 1,000 ducks (rubber plastic ones!) took to the River Nar and floated gracefully down to the finish line.
As always, this gorgeous annual event is so well attended by Duck Race enthusiasts from far and wide. It was a beak-biting finish as the winning duck(s) crossed the line, followed by the usual mad dash to collect all the rubber ducks before they floated further downstream.
The Friends were incredibly grateful to everyone who bought a duck, baked tasty treats, 'duck patrol waders', all those who so kindly donated a prize or helped to clear up…
An astonishing £1345.10 was raised! All proceeds will go to continuing to help provide awesome field trips and much needed resources for the children.
Here’s to the 2025 Duck Race!!
