Phonics / SPAG / Spelling

Please see 'Park Picture' in the attachments.

Y1 Look at the park picture. Use your phonic knowledge to help you spell all the the things you can see.  Underline any digraphs e.g. boat

Y2 Practise applying your phonics by writing a list of nouns you can see in the picture. See if you can make a separate list of verbs e.g. chatting. Finally, write a sentence in the present tense to describe something in the picture e.g. The smart, young boy waits patiently to sail his boat.

Watch the Ocean slides in the attachment and join in with the activities. You will then need to download the Ocean Animal worksheets for the follow up activities.

Y1 - Choose either worksheet 2A or 2B. Scroll down in the attachment and you will see a word mat to help you with the spellings.

Y2 - See Y1 activity. Now have a go at completing worksheet 2C

CHALLENGE! - If you would like another task to do perhaps you can choose a different sea creature and find out the names of the different parts by using the search engine 'kiddle'. 

OR you might like to draw, paint, collage a picture of your favourite sea creature. You might even have some modelling materials to make your own model. Have fun! I look forward to seeing your creations!
