Spellings:
Use the powerpoint below to learn about the when to use sure/ture suffixes.
Read for pleasure: Spend 10-15 minutes (or more if you want) reading something for pleasure. It could be a story, poem, play, information text, comic, graphic novel or online text/kindle/e-reader. You could also read to a younger or older sibling.

Guidance: work through the relevant powerpoint below with the children (Note: there is a separate powerpoint for year 5 and year 6. They can record responses to the questions in their exercise books as they go.
Year 5: R5a. Explains clearly how vocabulary choices affect meaning in a range of text type.
Year 6: R5b: Can make developed inferences drawing on evidence from the text and wider personal experience.
