It’s test day! Watch the spelling test video on dojo to complete the spelling test.
Maths:
Daily 10
Encourage pupils to practise their times tables by clicking on the link below. This will give 10 questions based around recall of the times tables facts.

- Click on the daily 10 image.
- At the top of the page, you should see 3 ‘choose’ tabs
- 1st tab: Choose level 4 (year 4) or level 5 (year 5)
- 2nd tab: Multiplication, Choose mixed tables up to x12
- Then you should see a range of question intervals at the bottom of the page…can you try a quicker challenge?
- Upload your score to dojo to let your teacher know how you got on.
You could also try selecting division to practice using your knowledge of times tables to solve related division questions.

Year 4: Subtract fractions

Year 5: Add 3 or more fractions
Today you will be adding 3 or more fractions with different denominators. You will need to use your knowledge of equivalent fractions to help you.

English:
Today you will be writing your own 'Just So' story using your plan from yesterday.
Read the WAGOLL text below, so you can see what a really good example of a just so story looks like. (WAGOLL stands for What A Good One Looks Like). Remember, you can magpie any words or phrases from this text to use in your own story. (DISCLAIMER: this does not mean you can copy the story though!)
Open the fronted adverbials word mat to give you some ideas on how you can start your sentences/paragraphs.
Then, it’s time to write your story. Remember to:
- Include a great story opening
- organise your writing into paragraphs
- make sure your sentences make sense
- try to include some good vocabulary (remember to use description to help the reader picture what is happening)
- Include some direct speech (with inverted commas “” commas , and capital letters in the correct places)
- Vary the start of your sentences (e.g. fronted adverbials, conjunctions)
- Year 5s: can you try to include an embedded relative clause

Can you produce a piece of art to go with your “Just So story?” It could be an illustration, painting, 3D sculpture, diorama…Be creative!

My favourite day of the week, with my favourite task of the week! Get creative in the kitchen! Knock up a snack, as sweet treat, a healthy meal...whatever you fancy. Can you try to make something that involves careful measuring of ingredients (e.g. weighing/ capacity of liquids). Can’t wait to see some of your fabulous creations. Channel your inner chef/ bake-off contestant… (Extra bonus points may be awarded if you clean up after you too!)
